Downtown Walking

That woman shes got eyes that shine.
Like a pair of stolen polished dimes.
She asked to dance, I said it's fine.
I'll see you in the morning time.
Oh Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in.
Are you aware the shape I'm in?
My hands they shake, my head it spins.
Oh Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in.
Three words that became hard to say.
I, and love, and you.

What you were then, I am today
Look at the things I do.

Oh Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in.
Are you aware the shape I'm in?
My hands they shake, my head it spins.
Oh Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in.

Dumbed down and numbed by time and age.
Your dreams to catch the world, the cage.
The highway sets the travelers stage.
All exits look the same.

Three words that became hard to say...
I, and love, and you.
I, and love, and you.
I, and love, and you.

Graffiti books! The Library! Pixios! Babysitting!
If I put them in exclamation marks they sound a lot more exciting then they actually are.

My favorite types of days are the ones where my Dad decides he doesn't want to go into work, but instead goes to the library with me.
I never get reading books, just picture ones.
I'm only interested in paper cutting and graffiti right now.
After the library we went picture taking...
I love our old buildings because although almost all of them are restored and very new, they still have their old quirkies.

Well other than that I've just been babysitting.
It's amazing how much I babysit!
Yesterday I got to babysit my favorite 6 year old, Zachariah.
At one time, Zachariah hated me because I was a girl.
Now he has come to accept my "girlness" and will let me read him books, wrestle, watch scoobie doo, and make pixios together. Best friends forever is what I say to that.

The big parade.

Crashing the big parade.

I'm home.
I feel a little out of place, I'm slowly getting to know the new things and traditions in our home. The new leather chairs, the huge ugly television that I still can't figure out how to turn on. The missing coffee pot replaced by the power juicer and the new obsession my family has with organic, healthy food. The big Tulip Time parade made me feel more at home and more like I was in the place I belonged...thank-you Tulip Time, you've never disappointed me, except for that one time it was snowing, that was disappointing for sure.
